This could very well be from 1812 but more likely 1830-50. Well taken care of and in excellent condition. Except that it had a cap on the end at one time for holding the pin closed. There is a small hole from the mount at this end. If, the buyer would like to replace this end, we can, make one at any time, for a reasonable cost. We will, supply a clutch guard that can make this wearable without fear of it falling off. Measures 3 x 1 ½ inch
