Sword measures 3 3/4" long, bag is 1 x 1 inch. In excellent condition. Gardner wrote Kris and Other Malay Weapons,  published in Singapore in 1939. Gardner was said to be the world authority on the kris. This item apparently was from his stay in the Far East in the 1930īs. It has engraved Arabic writing on the back.
