Indeed a very nice pair of Georgian earrings. These are very hard to come by in any condition. Circa 1830īs Georgian period and also known as cannetille work. Almost identical pair in "The Price Guide to Jewelry"; Michael Poynder; pub. Antique Collector's Club,1976, pp123 Plate 104.
They test 18K gold +, granulation is usually done with 22K fine gold. The bottoms detach from the tops. All in great condition except for some of the filigree is missing from above a drop. They measure 2 1/4" long x 1/2" wide at top piece. The deep red coral is also a plus.
