¤¤¤¤¤ STARTING YOUR BRACELET ¤¤¤¤¤¤ |

In order to design your new slide bracelet, you must begin with a starter bracelet. Below are a few samples of the beginner clasps we stock. You need to figure out the length of your finished bracelet. Measure an existing bracelet you have and determine the length that will be comfortable for you. If you are intending to only start with a few slides and add more later, then we will have to allow for that and make the chain longer than needed for the starter. ( As you add slides, the length will shorten a bit.) Usually we add 1/2 inch to the desired final length. The length of the clasp will make a difference also. But don't worry about this, we will guide you as additions are made. |

We prefer to use Parisian Wheat style chain 1.5mm, but can also use solid rope chain if you like. When we make a custom clasp, we do just that. Every gold component including the bezel, base, and tongue is handmade by us. The above clasp was made using an antique porcelain button. ( This and others can be found on our slide clasp page.) |
